 | @ResolumeVJSoftware  Tricks \ud83d\ude0b - VJ Tips\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vDlr_4fuJFA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hi VJs, does your strobe speak your tone?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">do you always yell ? or sometimes yell, gentle in general ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Did you know each year how many people <em>puke<\/em> due to excessive strobing in live shows where clients try to save money by not hiring a designer, us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyways, we ALL need to control our strobing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hi, I am zunayed sabbir ahmed, on behalf of We are VJ bangladesh, a small yorising community of live visual artists ang light designers, based in Bangladesh<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s a mid size video, how I got to be a better human, controlling my strobing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this trick its great if you have a midi controller with faders on knobs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But i will show you a keyboard mapping trick if you hang on to this video<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this example i will be using only sources, to keep it simpler<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let me drop a solid color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets change the color just for our eyes sake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">for a little variation, lets go to effect, drop a grid, and set up till it makes some logic to your eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">for this example, i will use strobing over composition, but you can do same trick in clips, layers, and compositions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets check out the strobe effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So we can see its at its highest strobe at 0.99 and somewhat strobe-like at 0.60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So we will work in between that range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s do midi ctroller first, in my case i&#8217;m using my highest used most trustworthy Akai APC 40 MK2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets press shortcut &#8211; Ctrlt + Shift + M for midi mapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets map the frequency to this fader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets limit the range from 0.60 to 0.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Means, our midi knob&#8217;s 0 value is 0.60 and putting the knob to full gets me to highest. value on range, this case 0.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, sigh! enough strobing, done working with this FX, now time to shut it off, so lets. midi map the blackout button for this effect to this button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">now we select piano more, and then invert to ensure, the effect will stay off until pressed. and ill act as a piano key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now we can hold this button to strobe and ctrol the frequency!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note- its a good practice to get to the frequency before hitting the strobe on button!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets press CTRL + Shift + K for keyboard mapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets select frequency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets press NUM 1 for first range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets right click and duplicate, and duplicate again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets midi map these two new ranges to Num 2 and Num 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets set range for Num 1 &#8211; .99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets Set range for NUM 2- .80.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets Set Range for Num 3 &#8211; .65.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lets map the blackout button to Num 0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Again, we put it to piano more, so that it activates when pressed, and select invert to shut it off until pressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In fact, you can try this trick to every single effect available in <a href=\"https:\/\/studio-z.ca\/all-courses\/resolume-masterclass-from-beginner-to-intermediate\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/studio-z.ca\/all-courses\/resolume-masterclass-from-beginner-to-intermediate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">resolume<\/a>, pls buzz me and show how this trick works!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have watched this video till this part, this says you&#8217;re a visual enthusiast like the people in our small uprising community called we are vj Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subscribe this community for more sessions, lessons, workshops and idea jamming coming up<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We want green earth with controlled strobing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"PLEASE :&#039;( Control you Strobe \ud83c\udf29 !
